Hey Rusty I got the wood off and now I am trying to fig out how that plastic around the shifter comes off? I see what looks like 4 maybe 10mm bolts? is that what holds the assembly? little leary about unbolting those bolts don't know what else they may hold and don't want anything droping down in the works!! Get back to me and ease my problem!! Thanks

The plastic piece is held on at the four corners by tabs. No bolts needed to take off.

Thanks ! With a closer look I fig. it out! Trouble was when top came off everthing fell apart ! What a bugger to try and hold all those parts together and get the top back on!! With a lot of sweat and a few choise words I get the top back on! This morn I have to finish the job! after that part the rest gonna be easy! I HOPE!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the input will put up a pic of finshed job when its done!

Glad you solved it. It took me awhile to figure it out myself. Took a couple of 4 letter words and skinned knuckles lolz. Post some pics of your new install. Did you get a leather shifter or wood?
