GTa- You're lucky that you have the M119 engined car.

Here is a summary of some great parts you can get, some a re pricey.

1) On Ebay there is a seller by the name of "hiperformance" that sells a chip upgrade for your ECU and he claims that you get 27-35hp increase. Installation is less than half an hour and his feedback is very good form other Benz owners. Price typically around $110. Worth checking into.

2) Renntech can reprogram your ECU, you pull out the entire ECU, send it to them and they will send it back, turn around about a week-ish. Cost is $800, power increase is in the 10-15% region.

3) Renntech make a fully tuned stainless catback for your car and they have tested it to make around a 10% increase and cost is $1800.

4) Renntech make a full carbon fiber air intake with plenum that gives an approx. 5-7% increase in hp. Price is around $900ish.

So for around $3500 you can have performance that will outmuscle a 500E.

Swap the rear diff for a 2.82 or 2.65 (2.65 is the Euro E420's rear end ratio). 2.82 is the 500E's.

that is if you want more acceleration

leave the engine alone and just keep it floored. you will go fast enough without altering the emissions. i see your in New York, and our next nightmare inspection machine communicates with the ecm. can't wait for that.......
