e220 w124 199 convertible how do i lower it by 1 inch

at the moment i have got 15 inch rims on my car, i wanna upgrade them to 18 inch , but if i do that i will need to lower the car by 1.5 inch to 2 inch
how can i do this without changing the springs.

can anyone help???

simple answer is you cant, you need to change the springs, mind you let the tyres down an 1" [:D]

New springs .. or cut your original springs.
If you lower your car w/ 18" wheels, there's a huge chance it's going to rub unless you roll your fenders.
