got myself some new wheels
actually they have been on for a few weeks now.
had to put 5mm spacers in the front cause my brake calipers were grinding into the wheel.
all i have to do now is paint the calipers red and clean the wheels every fricken day.
WOW! Those are shiny rims, you may be interested in pkmaven's post regarding low dust brake pads (thread called "No more black front wheels" in this forum).
How did you do that to the grille? I don't wanna sound ignorant, but I am a benz newbie, and I have been trying to get this info outta the peeps at the local club with no avail.... Sweet wheels, btw.
you can either (a) buy a new hood from the '94-95 model if you have the pre '94 model and buy a new grille frame and an aftermarket insert (I believe the insert is an S-class style--it's a copy, not an actual s-class grille), or (b) you buy an attachment that has to be welded to your car. Look at menaceboy's picture gallery and you'll see what I'm talking about-- he went w/ option (b). I think it would be easier just to buy the new hood and grille. I've found new hoods online for around $320-350, then you'll need to buy all the grille stuff and have it painted. Prolly much easier to do and not much more expensive.
Actually I have different tastes. Like I said in another post, I'm considering "downgrading" to older (pre-124) 15" OE wheels - the ones that used to fit W123. I've seen them on another guy's 124 here the other day, and they just looked great.
