RE: It worked!

Hi,

Seen that you have selected the Falken Ziex-512 for your car. I'm thinking of replacing my current tyres (Goodyear NCT5, 50% worn and getting noisy) and am considering the Ziex-512, the Bridgestone GR80 and the Yokohama AVS-dB in the stock size 195/65/15.

Please post your experience with the Ziex-512 as you go along, especially how the tyre handles and if they are quiet.

Thanks

RE: It worked!

They are very quiet and very supple! Last night I drove from Jeddah to Mekka and back (160km round trip,) and the night before I drove halfway to Madina (about 400km,) all with my windows open, and the tires are REALLY quiet, and the handling is VERY precise! They seem to be impervious to ruts and tar strips, and never disoriented by expansion joints.
Besides the Falken 512's, other choices were Falken ZE-502, Toyo Proxes TPT and Hankook Ventus HRII H405. 215/60 Hankooks were not available, and the Toyo dealership were closed for the evening, so I went for the Falkens. I steered away from the 502 (excuse the pun) because I wanted an "all-season" tire for when I travel back to Jordan, where there is actually some weather, unlike here! [:D]
