There are variations in models that were offered by AMG. For example there was the:
AMG-Hammer 1985-1989
The AMG hammer featured a converted V8 engine from 560SEL/SEC. The engine was bored to 6.0 liters and fitted with a 32valve top, which gave this car 380 hp. The engine bay had to be completely redesigned, the battery was put in the trunk to compensate for the huge weight of the engine. Sedan, coupe and wagon models were made. 0-100 figures were about 5 seconds and top speed above 300 kmh.
Some w124 models could get AMG bodykit, wheels, brakes and suspension, as well as AMG gauges, doorsills and shiftknob etc.
Engine for the 300E was increased from 3.0 to 3.3 liters resulting in 220 hp.
Several 300E with the AMg badge are nothing more than regular 300E, with an AMg badge.
Those badges are sold for $9.95
I will need a picture of your engine to determine if it is a real AMG modified car.
