Well, the car's all done now except for lowering it.I transfered my personal registration plate onto it last Friday. Having dismantled the car for the colour change from white to black (see pics above for as it was) I finished refitting it all back together over the weekend & now it's time to take it out for a nice long run, Woo hoo!!!....Nigel

We are overdue meeting up, swapping notes and comparing cars.... I am also remiss for not posting up some pics of my own car. Frequent travel during week dictates requirement to spend time with family at the weekend (remind them who I am etc) but hoping we can do the meet-up thing at East Coast Park one Sunday morning some time soon. Let me know...
Nigel,
How much did the respray cost you? It does look the part!
Not a lot really,........ it cost me £165.00 for paint & materials & £90.00 for the use of a spray booth/low bake oven. I used to have my own bodyshop specialising in painting/restoring high buck cars (in a 12 month we did 32 Porsche, 15 Mercs, 11 Roll Royce & 2 ferraris, plus numerous Beemers, Lexus etc) I sold the business a few years ago, but managed to blag some workshop space from a friend to do the prep on my wagon. (he lets me use his 'shop when I want to, which is good). Another friend then rented out his booth to me to paint it. Deep chin front spoiler's from a SD1 Rover Vitesse, cut & shut to fit (almost the same profile/ size etc) & I fitted some driving lights into that with no cutting into the original bumper (which it's bonded to). Managed to do the whole thing in 2 weeks on my own, but it was a very clean car to start with The wheels/tyres were £275.00 from ebay & the car was off ebay also. So, all in all it's turned out really well & I'm very pleased with the result. Where in the UK are you? I'm in snowing South Wales.
