Think i killed it...

Well I think I went and done it.

I took my brand new used 300 turbo out today to clean the engine.

I made damn sure that I didnt get any water in the air intake. (friend of mine warned me).

But now it seems the turbo doesnt work....

The car doesnt have the sweet sound of the turbo winding up anymore..

How can I tell if the turbo is bad?.

thanks
Perry.

P.S.. I feel like an ass....

This happened to me once after cleaning the engine compartment (Simple Green + water hose). Turbo quit after that. However, I took it on a moderate drive (~50 miles) and it came back to life. A mechanically inclined uncle told me "typical, rust". I personally believe I shorted something (do we have an electronic overboost sensor?). Drive it for a few dadys and see if the turbo comes back to life before you try anything drastic.

Best of luck.

maybe vaccum

After I washed the car, I took it out on the highway and it surged 3 times. It felt like it was running out of diesel and then no turbo.

Do you think that the vaccum lines can affect the turbo operation?

Very much so!

It's a hiccup in the system.
