Your heard a loud "pop" at work, and all hell broke loose.
Today, at work, my car was gently kissed by the rear end of a semi trailer. Broke the rubber trim, popped the rubber strip, bent the T-shaped area of the bumper itself and perhaps did some damage to the mounting bracket (I'm not sure) Plus a long scratch that dent the rear quarter panel.
First time being involved in an accident (I wasn't even in the car :'[ ), of cause I was calmly freaking out. But then later on when I further inspect the damage I'd like to believe the car was rather lucky...
The semi trailer's bumper has the exact same height as the w123's bumper, and it first started to make contact with the side rubber trim, only few inches back from where the trim begins aft the rear wheel. If it were to hit a few feet earlier, or inches higher, I could imagine much much worst result...
Wish myself best of luck and see how the insurance company would help me on this.
