Differential differences

Hello

This is my first post, and I am from Norway, so bear with me :-)

I have attached (hopefully) two pictures of W123 differentials, one with 6 bolts at the flange where the axlejoint meet the housing, and one without these bolts. My question: Are these interchangeable, meaning bolt on swap?

best regards

Bie

those are interchangeable, althou some driveshafts may rub against the 6bolt version if made for the one without the bolts, as far as ive heard atleast.

Ive only had the sixboltversions and swapped those for the no-bolt version, al of those without any problem anyhow... (on multiple vehicles, w114, w115 and w123)
