This fell out of my lower dash cladding below steering wheel....some work was done in this area in the past but for the love of god we are unable to figure out where it goes if at all it is for my car! Some possibilities we considered were instrument cluster unit, steering ack, ac vents...mech who worked on these area is confident this was never seen in disassembly does not exist in the manual!! Who. As seen this before and can tell me certainty where it goes?
Do you perhaps have an airvent that pushed into the dashboard? That's the spring that goes at the back of the chrome ring of one of the airvents. From the front, you have the chrome ring, dashboard, wavy spring and then the actual airvent housing, into which the ventilation pipe presses onto. Glad I could help .
