Need help with turbo replacement, tight on time.

Just rebuilt my old turbo, and think the balance was off and now she's toast. End play is insane, compressor heavily damaged, and dynamic seal has failed as well, so she started suckin oil.

I've got up to $500 to put towards a new or reman turbo. Was looking at stock ones, but also open to the idea of going to a different turbo as well.

Requirements are, needs a warranty (Prefer year or more)

Easy installation, no major modifications. (No time)

Reliable. (Going to be putting some mile on it. (1200 miles right off the bat.)

Also completely open to stock replacements (due to ease) so if you have any recommendations of where to get one, let me know. Thanks!

I would think that to get a warrenty you would need to replace it with a Stock Turbo; any thing else might be considered an expeirment.

You did not say if your Turbo was a Garrett (Air Research) or a KKK Turbo.
If it is a Garrett/Air Research Turbo any US Turbo Shop ought to be able to rebuild it or better yet exchange it.
However, on the New Turbo you might have to loosen and Rotate one or both of the Housings to get the Drain and Turbo Inlet to line up.

When there is a lot of damage an Exchange is usually cheaper than haveing it rebuilt because the local Shop has to buy a new wheel/s.

When the go back to Garrett to be turned into rebuilts they are rebuilt to the extent that they do some Welding on Turbine and Compressor Wheel Fins, grind Turbine Shafts undersized and Bearing Housing Bores oversized and that is normally beyond what a local shop can do.

The other issue is that a local shop cannot beat the labor time on a badly damaged turbo because at a Factory the Turbos are rebuilt on an assembly line.
I can't recommend any place because I have not had to face this issue Myself.
