Exclamation W123 Marketplace: FS/WTB/Freebies/For Trade

No Commercial Posts Allowed

FS/WTB threads posted outside of this thread will be deleted.

ALL items listed must:

1. Be W123-related (it could be a part or an entire car). All other items should be posted in the For Sale section of the website. Similar/related items (wheels, accessories, etc) may be posted, but this requires more information to confirm compatibility with the W123 chassis.

2. Include price, location and contact info (PM, email and/or phone number). A post with no information will not be allowed and may be deleted. People like to know where the item or car is and not have to guess as to what you want. Photographs are not required, but will be helpful to determine condition.

3. Be updated on status. When an item is sold, quote your original post and update as necessary. This way, we will have closure. Or, simply edit the original post.

Accepting money for parts and not sending those parts will result in your account being banned. With that being said, Benz World will take absolutely NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER for any transactions between members. It is BUYER BEWARE. If a member gets ripped off by another member they are on their own. NO EXCEPTIONS! We do NOT want to get involved in ANY WAY. Individual members may choose to get involved but this is at their own risk.

All correspondence MUST be through PM or email, whichever contact info is posted. Members may not be subscribed to a thread, and may not receive a general post respose that somebody is interested. It is in your best interest to contact the seller/buyer directly.

Let's get this rolling...

================================================== ========

I'm looking for one (1) Centra 15" Bundt wheel in order to have a serviceable and matching spare wheel for my W123. The wheel size is 15" x 7" with offset of 23mm.

Wheel must NOT be chromed or chipped. I don't care if the paint is gone as long as it's not chromed or chipped badly, as I plan to have it restored and repainted. Preferably, wheel should have minimal curb rash, or if any, fixable scratches or rashes. Show me what you've got.

For reference, the Centra 15" Bundt wheel I'm looking for is similar to the wheel above, in the photo below.

Center cap, tires and lug bolts are NOT required. I plan to purchase the tire to be installed on the wheel. I know the value of these wheels and will gladly pay a very fair price for a good one. Shipping to 92801 in California. Thank you.

WTB LEFT Hood/Bonnet Hinge.

This thread makes sense, thanks to the moderator for letting it continue.

I'm needing an unbroken Left Side bonnet/hood hinge, preferably from as late a model as possible, certainly after 1982, the later the better. Late '84 or '85 even.
Can be from a sedan.
Must have a large shouldered bolt on the top mount of the hinge. see detail below
The "hinge" I'm referring to is the hinged piece with the lock, at the front. It is held one by a 22mm head shouldered bolt, couple of wave washers and a 17mm head nut at the bonnet. You need a thin 17mm wrench to hold the nut. Below, there is a clip holding the shaft of the hinge.
The spring pretty much detaches itself as you open the bonnet to full vertical position. Takes nearly 2 minutes to remove.

Of course, this is provided you are looking the correct hinge. I've seen another, on an '84 where the top mount was a large heat set rivet.

Colour #473 Champagne would be a dream come true, but I'm dreaming, okay.

The most important part is that the locking mechanism on the front "D" part of the hinge is unbroken and not squashed. The spring which holds it in position is also required.
Even this part alone would get me out of trouble if the rest of the hinge is trash. I can machine another flange pin to hold it on.

Being located in Australia, I realise there is a postage cost and happy to pay, for that and the hinge.
Thanks for looking and most grateful if you have one to part with.
