85 300D Turbo Suspension Parts Diagram

Hi All - had a minor mishap in the rain where a curb was hit with the left front. Obviously something is bent as there is now negative camber and the whole wheel assembly is pushed rearwards. I took off the wheel and can see a bent rod that attaches underneath where the shock attaches to the suspension piece. Thing is - I know what I see but not what the bits are called so I'm hoping to find a parts diagram so I can ID what I need to order! Any pointers?

Sounds like you are speaking of part #100 in the lower pic. One of the Names for that part is the Strut Rod, Guide Rod and Track Rod.
Mercedes part number 1233302130.

An online genuine Mercedes parts wants $45 for that part. Aftermarket parts seem to be around $30.
Pulling one at the Junk Yard may only cost you several dollars and you would get a real Mercedes one.

You also want to take a really good look at where the Heavy cast Lower control Arm mounts on the Frame and see if the sheet Metal parts where it pivots is also bent.

Thanks all - both the pic and the advice help a lot! I noticed that the cup that holds the spring in place is twisted too so that needs replacing.

I'll look for the mounts on the frame too. Is that a replaceable part or if it is bent am I in for a more serious issue?

If you are talking about the part of the chassis that part 75 (second picture) fits to, then you've got a bit of a problem. If that is done in you'll have fun and games getting the front suspension right again. If that is the case post up some pictures - we might be able to suggest some remedies.

Because you've hit the front so hard and managed to bend part 100 (second picture) you need to check out the anti-roll bar mounts at that are on the bulkhead behind the engine too. I can imagine that by bending that bar (100) you could end up with trouble higher up. The anti roll bar is attached to parts 210, 206, 203, 199 etc in the first picture.

1981 300D (non turbo) 123.130 => Project car - stripped to the bone

1992 190E 1.8 <=>2.0 201.018 => This car shouldn't be in bits too

SInce you are so good that the name that part and PN game, can you help me id #'s 125, 128 & 140 in diagram #2? I'm finally getting around to making a parts order and I can't find the names or PNs for those items.
