HI This is the very hard to find Mercedes W123 Diesel Euro Tachometer 300D 300CD 300TD tach 2plug

This is a tachometer removed from a euro W123 diesel,they have different IP pumps on some models. This 1982 euro non-turbo has a higher redline. The US models use the same tachometer amp (years 81-83) as the euro cars. US cars can not redline because the IP pump will cut fuel. It is a plug and play upgrade with a working clock .If your w123 doesn't have a tachometer you'll need to get wiring / tach amp from another vendor, as I don't have them .

It will fit:W123 2pin 1978-1983, it will not work in the 3pin 84-85 model years if your W123 came with a tach from the factory.


This tach is in great shape/ tested!!! The clock works great!!!

It is an early tachometer for a 280/280E. Maybe it has been modified to work on diesels.

I thought of that too. The redline was a clear indication.

Wasn't the last of the clock with marks for each second available in the 116? Are we sure this is a 123 tach?

I don't recall ever seeing a 123 tach/clock with seconds.

No, it will not work on a diesel.

The red-zone tachometers for diesel have a redline at around 4500-4600 rpm. The redline at 6500 rpm indicates a tachometer for a 280 or 280E. It will only work on a six-cylinder gas engine.
