air cleaner mount for 300td

Are three rubber air cleaner mounts having different height? Is the one closer to firewall is the highest. what are the exact size of these three mounts? This question is for 1981 300td. Thank you.

I do not believe they are different heights when new.
I would check your favorite internet parts place and see if they sell different sizes.

They are all the same size on my 81 TD, but I am pretty sure they have been replaced at some time. I read that the originals were square sided and mine are round.

I believe all are the same height. The original, early ones, were shaped so you could get a wrench on 'em, the new ones are round.

I think maybe the PO was using incorrect rubber.
Just noticed that the T-shape air cleaner support bracket has a crack, could this the result of worn engine mounts?
seems I have to replace the T-shape bracket and all three rubbers.

^ Unknown, but that bracket is a failure item.

Anything that causes more than normal Engine Vibration makes it possible to shorten the life of the Air Cleaner Support Bracket.

I have also read that the Asian made replacement Brackets do not hold up as well as the original.
A different one from a Junkyard would not cost much.
