so my 1985 300td is now a salvage title thanks to some drunk guy who hit it while it was parked. now as far as ive been informed (i dont really know anything about cars) the only damage that isnt cosmetic is the left control arm with plate and bearing need to be replaced. now i had someone from this guys insurance company do a damage appraisal and the price he quoted was 3,150 for oem parts and labor. im wondering if anyone can tell me what kinda price is reasonable if i were to take it to a mechanic. also wondering if anyone knows of a good reliable mechanic in portland oregon. thanks in advance
