where to look for possible problems on wagoon I am about to buy?
Hi, I am going to buy 240TD. Where should I look to ensure myself that I am not buying more problems than I can pay?
From a few inspecions of 123 sedans, I can say I know a bit where to find rust. Is there anaything diferent on wagoons? How do I check SLS problems? Thanks for any picture or advice where to look and what to try.

Reason: mistake in speling
if the car has been sitting, and the rear end is sitting low, there are SLS problems.
look for leaking around the pump body, as well as the rear shocks.
drive it. if it's hard and/or bouncy, there are SLS problems.
look for rust in the bottom of the hatch.
look for rust in the spare tire well as well as the first aid door.
interior bits at the rear doors and beyond are unique to wagons and are harder to source if they're bad.

Owner told me that after some two days, the back of the car get lower. When it starts it get up.
He send me ome pictures snd I fell sad about roten underbody of the car, somewhere painted black, somewhere not. I know that this is 30yo car and for some 900 dollars..Could you tell from the pictures how long it could take berofe the car broke for pieces of rusty iron?

$900 (assuming you adjusted for US dollars) is not a lot of money for a car, unless it falls apart from rust really soon. So I'm curious to know, for your sake, if anyone knows how long before the car may "fall apart?"
Looks like it's on a second or third stage of rot already. Notice how it already has extensive undercoating material applied throughout the underbelly? That to me is a sign it's been done before and probably has more rot lying underneath all that coating than what you can see.
