How much for steel rims?

Someone is interested in my 14 inch steel rims with hubcaps and lug nuts. What should I ask for a fair price?

They are in decent shape, with tires that have a little bit of life in them. The hubcaps are okay, with a couple of tabs missing to hold them in place.

I bought a used set of bundts and these are just taking up space in the shed right now.

What do you guys think?

$150-$200ish. But two of your caps are broken, so less. I see caps for sale all the time for $15-$25 each. Wheels are fairly plentiful too if your resourceful. Not sure how much those go for but I'd guess $20-$30 each. just a guess.

I know you didn't ask, but IMO if your car was originally spec'd with caps and its a relatively nice driver and worth keeping in good original condition, you might consider just keeping them for original, resale, aesthetic, reasons. But this is coming from a guy who is having a set of R9's refinished as we speak...still I'm keeping the bundts.

I've got bundt's on my car, but I'd rather have the steel rims with the wheel covers. Granted the bundt's look more "normal" -- but the wheel covers add all the more flavor, history, and uniqueness to our cars.

I haven't yet been able to find replacements for my bundts, but I'd jump at the chance to pay $100 for all four wheels.

Ditto. I love the classic steelies and think the bundts are ugly as sin. Just waiting on the right color, condition, and price. $200 is normal for what I've seen for steels in good condition with driveable tires.

plain rims used to go for $10 with no tires at the pick and pull. alloys in fair condtion twice that.

By missing tabs I presume the hubcap clips. You can get them from your parts store. I think PerformanceProducts4benz.com still has them, or Germanstar.net also.

Keep the originals. I upgraded to the 15" Bundts but still keep the 14" versions because they were original. I think it's a bit redundant to have 2 types of Bundts, but that's what came with the car when it was new.

Especially so for hubcaps, in your car's color (presumably) they are not that common. I would keep them if I were you.
