I pulled my blower motor apart because its making obnoxious noises. Turns out the bearings are shot. Also the commutator has grooves in it because the brushes are worn to the base. I will not pay 400-500 for a new complete assembly. I called Bosch and the motor was discontinued in 2006. Its not availble at Autohaus anymore either. The part #s stapmed on the motor are part # 0130111103 and DPD12V26.004 I believe the first number is the Mercedes part #.
In the meantime I am going for a used one but I dont see why we cant come up with a better solution. I am asking for help so that we may all benefit. These motors are not difficult to disassemble, so if anyone knows whre to buy the bearings, and whether or not the commutator can be replated with copper or another alloy I think we can rebuild these motors to almost new condition. I dint mention brushes because I am assuming people already know how to replace brushes, as there are many posts on MB forums.

What size or spec are the bearings?
Any other parts that need to be replaced besides brushes?
What about the possibility of finding any alternate manufacturer?
I tried to get tech specs from Bosch but they didnt have them since it was OEM for Mercedes.
BTW I took the motor to a local DC motor rebuild shop but they wanted 75.00 per hour labor plus parts. They didnt havethe parts in stock and I dint want to incur labor charges until I am sure they can obtain the parts.
I tried the junk yard but could only find the W126 motor. I bought it but unfortunately its too tall. Adsitco has a new motor but its 160.00 not bad as a last resort. The reason for my original post is to find someone who can reccomend where to get the bearings. These motors are simple to take apart. I have seen the brushes online although 39.00 is way to much for brushes. Some one has to know the tech specs of these motors. If I can find the parts I should be able to replace the bearings, and brushes for under 50.00. The commutator may need to be replated but you can get copper plating kits for 30.00.
Another option is to find a replacement DC motor like the ones below... but I need to know specs like RPMs,torque resistance etc...

I have not seen the bearings on the blower - but Im certain if you can remove the bearings, measure them with a micrometer or metric caliper - it should be easy to get that on any bearing dealer.
When I was still active in flying R/C helicopters I got my bearings from bocabearing in florida. But i dont know if they carry sizes that you need.
Bens,
Have you found a blower motor yet? I have one in my garage off my 82 300D that I'd be willing to part ways with. I swapped it out of my car thinking it was the culprit in my #8 fuse melting a few months ago... acted prematurely...I guess my A/C compressor was going as it stopped working..once I disconnected it, I stopped melting the fuse... acted prematurely and probably spent more money than I should've, oh well! Let me know.

yes finally broke down and purchased a new one from adsit. I appreciate your offer. I was able to pull the original motor apart. By the time I found the right bearings which would have beeen difficult since they were were worn, plated the commutator and replaced the brushes I would be at about 80.00 so I just got a new one for 150.00. Its a shame someone doesnt know where to get the parts. It would have been easy to fix. Problem is brushes are 45.00, plating kit is 30.00 etc....

Is your offer still stand for a heater blower. I am in need for my 83 300D. The fan works fine when I turn it over. When it is right side up and in the car it doesn't work at all.. While spring is almost here i sure would like heat on the way to work...
Also, any suggestions about taking the 'squirrel cage ' fan off of the motor shaft? Does it just pull off or is there a special fan puller that i need. I have not tried and screw drivers yet...but about to..
I need a blower motor for my 79 300D. The assembly is fine, just the motor is worn and erratic. New cost for the whole shot is about 500- way too much for me. So, I'd like to get the motor alone.
One question- How do you get the motor out of the housing without destroying something??
