How much should a fuel pump cost??

Having paid $90 for a fuel filter which i thought would be a standard 20/30$ im asking prices first!

How much approximately should a pump cost?

The garage wont give me a price over the phone so its a 90 mile round trip just to ask the price before ordering if its around $80 ill go if its a lot more ill wait untill after the holiday season!

If you do the work yourself you can save lots of money.

fuel filter is normally $30 on Ebay with shipping or less. New fuel pumps range in price from low of $50 to $185 dollars. If you are taking it to same indy or dealer that charged you $90 for a filter change.

It would be (185 * 1.5) 277 for parts and $50 for install. I would estimate cost to be $327.

However, if your driving car down there why are you replacing pump?
