I have a 1980 250 that has been sitting in covered storage for several years. I was in the process of restoring it but other priorities got in the way. I can't see myself getting around to doing anything with it - so if you're interested and want to come and haul it away, it's yours.
It's a European import I think - as far as I have been told this model wasn't sold here, but it's basically identical to a early 80s 300 - except gfor the carburetted 2.5 litre engine. It has a brand new windshield (i.e. installed but the car has never been driven since then), mostly decent body panels and doors, the front fenders and hood are off the car and have very minimal rust, definitely restorable, some brand-new underhood sheet metal parts still in the MB boxes, etc.), decnet rad, Euro headlights, good alloy rims on roadworthy but not stellar rubber, engine was running when the car was mothballed. Basically it's a pretty good parts donor IMHO.
It's in a drive shed about 10 km north of Guelph Ontario Canada. Sitting there for another winter isn't going to do it much good. I've been thinking of calling a wrecker to haul it away, but that seems to me like a shame if it would help someone keep their W123 4-door on the road.
I can get some digital photos taken. If there's any interest out there, let me know.
I am down in Buffalo - Not that beggers can be choosers...but - what shape and color is the interior in...
Thanks,
Jake
It's a blue interior - all there, but a bit musty from sitting in storage for so long.
Roll-up windows and manually opeated sunroof.
Instrument panel intact and all gauges etc. were working when it last ran.
