Oil pan removal and I found...

I removed the oil pan to change the leaking gasket today. After removing the pan, the screen and washers/gaskets that attaches to the bottom of the oil pump fell off too. This screen and surrounding plastic pieces are cracked, broken, and in overall bad/unusable shape.

I went to the local stealership and asked about this part. First stealership response: "You need a new oil pump." Second response, “We do not carry, stock, or even know how to get this part." Third response, "We'll try to track one down."

Can anyone offer experience and knowledge here? I've browsed Autohaus with no results, other than the entire oil pump assembly. And, I’d rather stay away from the money hungry stealership.

Thanks.

Sorry, it's an 82 300D OM617.

The attached photo is of an oil pump. I need the black plastic pieces that surround the screen within. (on top in the photo, at the bottom of the pump when mounted on the car)

God, are some dealerships that frickin' lazy?!!?

This is a turbo engine, correct. You need a part number 110-180-03-55. Less than $20. Includes the rubber extension and screen.

Just the rubber extension is part 110-186-00-07. About $10.50.
