engine weight for 81 300d 5 cyl diesel?
ok i tried the search function first for over an hour and came up with nothing(i could just be crappy at searching lol) im trying to find out how much this engine weighs? this model is the non-turbo engine. thanks in advance.

I do believe that it is around 800 Pounds.

the 5 cyl. block is suppossed to weigh like 850 lbs., because its cast iron....i'v heard........

thanks again for the info, man i cant believe a 5cyl motor is that heavy!!!!! guess im going to have to look for a heavier duty car to swap my motor and running gear into.
