Helo everyone, Im new Here and I was just wondering if I may be able to find answers here about my 1976 300D. Any help apprecieted.
Here's the problem My mercedes has been sitting in the garage for 8 years now because of a transmission problem. This summer we decided to put it on the road but we ran into a problem. The Trunk does not want to open. we turn the key and push the button in and it wont click or nothing. The door lock buttons in the car wont work either. I'm thinking a fuse but not quite sure. My dad thinks that in order for the trunk to open it needs some kind of power. Please Help. I cant move the car until we get into the trunk because the wheel parts r in it. Also the windows row down with the button. My car is Fully Loaded Everything elecric.
RE: 1976 300D Trunk and Door locks switch wont work
They are vacuum controlled, not electric. You may be able to get under the hood with a vacuum pump, and provide the needed vacuum to the system.
Even without it, you should be able to access the trunk with the key.
