Maybe adjusting this can solve your shifting issue?

RE: is transmission problem?! 722.4 or 722.1 ?!

My first 300td had a fast 2-3-4 shift, as you describe. RPM was too low for 4th when it shifted and was very slow. Ended up being a vacuum problem. The line that goes to the transmission was cracked, but slightly. HTH, Seth

Maybe adjusting this can solve your shifting issue?
if u turn this screw adjuster IN, it will shift sooner......

if u turn the adjuster screw OUTWARDS, it will allow more time/RPM's in between shifts...

is this what your problem was?
