ok, i know that this doesnt really "belong" in here, since its not exactly over 123's, but it is over something i'd like to put on a 123. i also thought i'd ask u guys, that i "encounter" here daily. how come i havent ever seen anywhere anything about benzworld.org "The mercedes benz owners community", etc. etc. stickers, like to put on ur benz, and pimp around town? am i blind and dumb and not seeing it, or did they not think of that or what? i'd like to have a benzworld representation on my car, i imagine others would too.

I would suggest some personalized ones like maybe an MBCA sticker if you're a member, or if you have a local club with a name then use it. A badge will definitely fit the W123, but others have used flag "decals" on the trunk, beside the license plates, or tucked somewhere discreet.
I have a friend who has a Swastica (sp?) sticker on his '69 Karmann Ghia...
Just got some "product of DB" stickers for my car, since original windshield was replaced.
Now this gives me an idea, would it be illegal to cover your VIN number tags on the A-pillar (for US versions)?
"Gone in a few minutes" would be a nice 240D bumper sticker...[]
Huh? Even if this was a domestic (US) forum, a swastica is still extremely offensive to the majority of americans and the international community. There is no excuse for your friend!!! He needs serious therapy.

Your freind may not realize what the swastika came to symbolize after the Nazis adopted it. If that's the case he needs to be enlightened, and quickly. Neonazis and hate groups still rally behind the swastika today, as well as the SS lightning bolts and the Maltise cross. These people crave hatred and genocide for those who they deem as 'lesser' races. Dangerous, and twisted stuff...

This is exactly why I don't put any kind of stickers on my car, other people may misinterpret it, and worse, other people may take aggressive action/offense.
Reading The Da Vinci Code, I understand that there are alot of meanings in a given symbol, and it shocked me to hear that there were dark histories behind some of them which are relegated as pure and chaste these days.
Regardless, he doesn't drive it often, in fact it is a garaged car. Nobody in the Philippines cares about it anyway. Let's face it, we're all biased towards something, regardless of extremity.
Justin, sorry for hijacking the thread, I didn't know it's such a sensitive topic.
well, im back online after a video card gave out on me, and shut me down for 2 days. well, i'd say that anyone who hasnt yet understood that the Nazi's were a bunch of pigs deserving to be shot needs to see the movie "The Pianist". it will be very enlightening, as it shows how brutal and nasty these schweine were.
Yes, a liscense plate cover would be something. I Dont see it as a "crime" per say to put badges or stickers on ur benz, so long as they are within "reason" and "good taste", and not too excessive. ie.. an "i like to drink beer" sticker or something dumb like that, but group affiliations, or company representations of whatever products u use, i think that those are OK.
Tiger, it’s not the Maltese Cross – still used in Germany today – but the Hakenkruetz, the one that first appeared in the Subcontinent and was later adopted by ancient Europeans as the Sun Wheel, a device used by the Nordic gods to create the world.
I’m not going to post a pic or link for obvious reasons – do a google image search.
As far as the topic is concerned, as noted correctly by many the fewer stickers the better. the idea is not so much one is a snob and his car ‘too good’ to have a sticker, rather that stickers detract from the classic beauty of the Mercedes-Benz design. Stickers can also damage the finish and may make the car unattractive to possible buyers. Even a 123 in as sad shape as mine would look worse with a bumper sticker.
Something useful for the rear window would be a Fraternal Order of Police sticker. One from your locality would be best, although not completely necessary. Also an undated one or one from the current year is optimum. The cops respond well to these. I'd put it in the rear window on the driver's side so that they see it upon approaching your vehicle from the rear.
I have escaped 2 speeding tickets so far, and I believe it is because of my FOP sticker.

As mentioned, those aren't Maltese crosses. If you are familiar with the German service medal known as the Iron Cross (which existed well before the days of Hitler) you'll know what I mean, It's flat at the ends, and is square shaped. It's very popular with Harley chopper shops these days...[xx(]
yes, it is the HIGEST MILITARY HONOR, originally given to those who saved the life of a King and such only, not many given. It is also Popular with those Bikers, the most popular being the Hell's Angels of course, the german ones being the nastiest and dangerousest of the bunch. they give it out if ur "Hard Enough" to deserve it or whatever.

i agree entirely with u on that point, however, i cant see even a sticker from benzworld as being a detractment, as it would merely show that one is enthusiastic about his vehicle.
remember the beer sticker? NOT THAT, how awful, stuff like that IS a detractment.
Alrighty then, here's the info, straight from Drew. BenzWorld.org decals are still available. They're $10, shipping included for a pair, they come in brilliant silver and darker navy blue, your choice. They're about 4.5" in length. Send an e-mail to store@benzworld.org so you can get your stickers.
allright, thanks. they dont have anything like up at the top left corner of the screen (page) do they?? i think something with those colors/fonts etc. would look really nice....the other one, i have to say, looks a bit "added on" if thats the word, like sort of "un-official" or homemade or something. i mean its great, but just a bit plainer than i had envisioned. thanks for tracking it down!!!!
