Jump on the 300, it is an EXCELLENT candidate for what you want to do,however I would advise to go both biodiesel AND SVO, which is what I have in my 240D.

I'm running straight WVO too, up to 50% so far without any problems except the above mentioned starting issue. It takes a while to get it fired up in the a.m. when it's cold; maybe 3 15 sec. cranks on the starter, then it not only runs like a top but quieter since the WVO has a higher cetane rating.
I run processed WVO (biodiesel) in my 2 TDI Volkswagens just cuz I think the computerized engines are a little more finicky although there are plenty of people on the TDI forum who run dilute WVO in these engines too without problems. I've been a little reluctant to put this in the 300D for fear of loosening up seals or gaskets. Anyone had problems with this?
Also, any good solutions to the long crank times for a cold engine?

I just added another 6 gallons of WVO to my tank, which now puts me at about 9% diesel fuel. My car still fires up good but a little slower than normal. Of course, if it were a little cooler here lately I wouldn't be getting away with that.
I have gone about 1200 miles on WVO now and have only had to replace one rubber fuel hose (from the line to the prefilter) because of destruction from WVO. I understand it's only natural rubber that suffers from WVO or biodiesel.
For tough cold starts try injecting WD-40 into your air intake. You could incorporate a windshield washer tank and pump full of WD-40 into your car.
