Are you sure its a 280C, I thought in the w123's there were only 280E and 280CE.

I can answer that. Its a 280c our neighbour had one too. It has the earlier engine which is carburated. :-) Earlier model ones same engine as the 115

I knew there was a 280C but I didn't think it was a w123, I thought it was a w115.

no its a 123, its a spiting image of one, E stands for fuel injection which a carburetor doesnt have
3700 made
my haynes manual comes with all the awesome ways to fix a carburetor i dont even have on my car

Here is my new 240D!
i picked her up for $650.. 170k miles, runs fine but it has bad rust problems. i can pretty much poke my finger through a lot of teh body work haha. the frame looks ok though
