Hi Guy's You all have such nice cars ! I can't belive the low miles on that "one". I've come back to Diesel after having a 380sl I love the little 240.
I have this 83 I just bought in march. I shure injoy looking at other w123 and what you all have done. All be back to see more of what you guys have to show ! Well here is pic's of my project. Ralph

So.... It all started when I got a new job, where I didn't have a company car anymore and started putting lots of miles on my 4Runner, which doesn't get the best milage BTW. I set about $1500 aside for a "beater"....just a reliable car, thats relativly easy on gas, for putzing around town, going back and forth to work, and running errands. Could never find a decent Honda, or Subaru for that price....but, whats this? These older Mercedes are EVERYWHERE, and cheaper than any little japanese car I was looking at. Needless to say, if given the choice I'd much rather have something with a little style to cruise around town in. Picked it up today for $1300 from a no-kill animal shelter donation (after much research) - 1980 300D, good compression all around, 257K miles, a few things here and there that need to be tinkered with, but nothing major (hopefully.....we'll see).

Is that a black leather interior you have in your wagon?? Would you be interested in selling/part exchanging the covers? I would give you my covers and £50/$85. Im desperate for a leather interior! Really hard to find one in the UK

are black,,,,,,,seems to me the effort of changeing them out outweights the money, are a little worn as well,, both back seat lower covers are pulled away from frame as seen in pic! are no places to get covers in G.B.? n0rt

nah, leather was far more common the US which is a pain coz no one wants to sell it!

Leather is the way to go, I cant believe how durable mine has been. By the way mine is for sale, bought a 300cd to toy with[:D]
