Overheating problem in my 85 300D

Hello,

I have an 85 300D, which i have flushed and changed the radiator fluid and installed a new thermostat. The problem is overheating, which only happens when i have the car full of passengers and am climbing hills. I have checked the belt that spins the water pump, and it is in tact. Is there something that I am missing? Any advice would be great! As it does take a sunny day, or several passengers to bring this problem on.

Thank you,
Eric

over heating

eric

if u are going above 110*c then u have to worry,
but if you are on hills with a heave load or towing a load like a boat, its sure to heat up some what.

two things i can think of, if u regulary are driving witha heavy load, you may want to get it taken in and the tranny adjusted to change gears at different speeds.
if it dose start to over heat turn the heater on full blast,it kicks the radiator in and actually cools the engine.

plus dont forget to turn the idle speed down at about 70*c
