I guess the rims are from a W116, i had 15x7 on my 76- 280S, but 16x8 looks better in the W116's big wheelarches. Nice with aftermarket wheels from the same era as the car :-) They would probably look good on a W123 to.
man they are in the realm of possibility unlike many i come across, but i just cant settle for something other than 15x7 or 16x7. im not in it for the looks, i have the flashy rims.

Those look great (and would fit fine), but I dunno about their look on a stock 123. At least lowered + euro bumpers would be optimal, on a darker color as well.
The only wheels that look fine on a Stock W123 are 15" bundts, anything else on stock ride height is wrong.
