Cool, its the candy apple coupe. Last I heard it lives somewhere in San Francisco. Not sure if thats true or not, but there are literally only a handful of AMG w123's with the 5L M117, and that being the only coupe. Cool car and cool pictures. The stance looks great in one of those last rolling pictures.

guys! some guy on the local classified put up a 1977 500CE, so i did the obvious of asking him for pictures. if its for real, i'm stealing it!!!!
oh and i was just looking at that brochure on page 1, it says the AMG has about 30HP more than the Alpina, but the BMW is 1second faster to 100kmph, is this because of the gear ratio?

beer is now cheeper than gas... lets just drink and dont drive
Not in this case, they have equal power/weight with the AMG technically a little more powerful
AMG - 1520kg, 276PS | 181.579 PS/ton | 0-100kmph 7.4s
Alpina - 1350kg, 245PS | 181.481 PS/ton | 0-100kmph 6.4s
2004 E55 AMG - 1854kg ,460PS | 248.1 PS/ton | 0-100kmph 4.2s
But the BMW gear ratio is a lot taller than the AMG, as well as the engine compression is higher.
I'm still waiting on the seller for details...
