eBay Motors: Mercedes 123/W123 240/300 CD/D/TD RH Amber Corner Light (item 280193669030 end time Jan-23-08 15:32:29 PST)

I bought this piece off ebay..... and it doesnt fit my W123 240D mercedes american. It says european style; i already plan to return it, but i really wanted it to fit. any suggestions? The connections are different.

As far as I know, the US indicators have some sort of parking lights, i.e. they light up when you turn the headlights dial to the first notch.

Can't you simply switch the two different connectors, or does the US variant have two bulbs in its housing?

And you know what, I doubt returning them is going to be worth all the effort involved...

I recently replaced a corner light on the SD, it came with the wrong socket, and an orange bulb, went to a bone yard, and bought a correct one for a buck.

They're all the same in the W123's....are you sure you fitted it properly? You should be able to swap the twist bulb connector and put it into the lamp head.

Take a picture of it and post it.

I have one lying around. Karugs has the other.

So i tried using my two proung (old plastic bulb casing) but it really doesnt fit i can jam it in there and it will hold. and i think thats what ill do. inless anyones got any ideas

Yeah, that new one is the Euro connector. Can't you just use your old one? It ought to screw into your new lens.

you would think they would make it easy...but NO! i figured i could fit the two bars into this three prong (outside) casing.....but of course it doesnt fit..... I might making a new whoel myself or making one of those slots bigger and see if that works. I dont want moisture to get into it.
