I recently replaced a corner light on the SD, it came with the wrong socket, and an orange bulb, went to a bone yard, and bought a correct one for a buck.
They're all the same in the W123's....are you sure you fitted it properly? You should be able to swap the twist bulb connector and put it into the lamp head.
i got it for fit in. the whole orage housing. but the plastic housing that surrounds the bulb is a two prong and the new one is a two prong, but it doesnt connect with my old eletrical socket. So i tried using my two proung (old plastic bulb casing) but it really doesnt fit i can jam it in there and it will hold. and i think thats what ill do. inless anyones got any ideas
ok you can see the first picture is the new one and it has two outside prongs the second one is the electrical connection and you can see the new one wouldnt line up with that believe me ive tried it. the third picture is the old bulb connector. it has three outside prounds that connect the bulb casing to the lense. kinda see what im seeing?
you would think they would make it easy...but NO! i figured i could fit the two bars into this three prong (outside) casing.....but of course it doesnt fit..... I might making a new whoel myself or making one of those slots bigger and see if that works. I dont want moisture to get into it.
