I have not purchased tires for the wheels yet, i will most likely go with a 205/45 but not sure yet, ill see what the wheel gap looks like and then decide.
1981 280CE, with an auto M110. mileage is over 100k, probably not much more
wheels will be stock 14" alloys and tire size for now

Sorry to be a stickler, but the wheels are not called AMG ronals. Ronal is a brand, a wheelmaker. AMG is an aftermarket tuner who contracted wheel makes to forge wheels in their design. The Penta style wheels was initially made by ATS, and later by Ronal. There are two versions, V1 (by ATS) in which the spokes are recessed in the lip, and V2 (Made BY Ronal) where the spokes hang over the lips. This was done to accomadate the larger calipers on the 2nd generation w126.
This is a V1 AMG (by ATS) Penta:
Whereas this is a Ronal R9 et 11(in the AMG Penta style, these are the knockoffs):
On the left in this picture is an 8x16 AMG et 11(by Ronal) V2 Penta. On the right is a 9x16 AMG et 0(by ATS) V1 Penta:
Hopefully I am not sounding like an ass, but now which wheel is which should be clear.
My 83 300d turbo will initially be running 8x16 Ronal r9's (205 55 front, 225 50 rear). I am looking for a set of 15x7 Bundts and if and when I find those I will be running 215 60 r15's.
Your not an ass. You're just passionate. To clarify, the wheels I have are Ronal V2's. IMG_3807 resized.jpg

Mine say AMG in raised lettering on the front. In the back of the rim it says Ronal? Wouldn't that be a Ronal AMG rim??
