Foggy Windows ?!?

ok i'm havin a problem, its startin to get cold out here in NY and almost everytime when the 300d is not in use all the windows in the car get foggy...like terribly foggy not just light fog...i thought it was some residue on the windows that were doing, so i cleaned the interior side of the windows and the windows still get fogged up bad...what should i do to fix this?

Let the interior acclimate to the outside temperature by driving with windows cracked open slightly.Turn off the heat a mile or so before you get home and when you shut her down for the day,let the cold air get inside for a minute or so before shutting the doors. In a few days the fog will be minimal to none.

It also helps to have a good working AC to clear up the condensation, or defog as necessary.

yeah the AC/Heat...defogger (front and rear) work perfectly fine, its just annoying to wait like almost 10mins to let it all clear up

Verify all the body drains are clear. Check under every door to make sure door drain slits are clear. Poke a screw driver into each slit at the door bottom to open it up. Pour water into the cowl vents at the windshield base to make sure it drains out just behind the front tires. Make sure the A/C drain hose is clear and not loose. Could have residual water inside a door or cowl drain which would evaporate overnite and become fog. Its like a bathroom mirror, without air circulation fog builds up on the glass. Unlike a bathroom, you cannt leave a door open or turn on a fan, so moisture drains are important to remove normal moisture or water from a car.

My 240 d is like that. I have a leak inside through the fire wall and after lots of use of rain x's fog x, ac, windows down, etc, I jsut decided to toss the carpet away and use regular rubber floor matts. Works wonders, it sounds better, shifts better and I feel a bit more power. Man, those floor matts were soaked and took two hands to haul them out of the car.

well a week ago it did ran hard here, and i drove through multiple large puddles, but i think the floor mats were wet but now they are semi dry, and opening the window while driving does seem to work, but i dont mind the cold draft at times so i leave it down the whole ride through...hopefully it will dry up what ever is wet soon enough

thanks for the ideas !

when my 300d is not in use all the windows fog up too. i left a window open last night and they all still fogged up. i think my front and rear door seals need to be replaced since my floors are always wet when it rains.
