1. READ THE BENZWORLD.ORG TERMS OF USE PAGE. That page contains all of the rules that are required to be followed on BenzWorld. http://www.benzworld.org/terms.html
2. When you have a technical question, please make sure to include your year, model and location so that we may better help you.
3. Do a search before you ask your question, there's a good chance that there has been a previous discussion of your problem and a solution.
4. If you want to post something that has nothing to do with W123s, please put "OT" before the subject title. Off topic items here include other Mercedes-Benz chassis vehicles, vehicles of other marques, and things related to that. Politics, religion, news items, that other stuff all belongs in the Open Discussion forum, not here.
5. Do NOT use foul or offensive language in your posts, pursuant to the Terms of Use. If you don't abide by this rule, the post will be edited and/or you will be notified and asked to cease posting in that manner. If you don't, you may lose your posting priveleges, ie: BANNED.
6. Treat others with respect here. No harrassment of other members will be tolerated here. If you feel that you're having problems with another member, PM me or the admin.
7. If you ever see anything on this forum that you think may be considered objectionable, let me know about it via PM.
If you break any one of the rules, you will be given a warning. Break it again, you'll be given a second warning. The third time, you'll be referred to the Administrator and face a possible banning, the length of which to be determined by the severity of the situation(s).

When you post, be sure to include the year and model of your W123 along with your geographical location if you don't have it included in your signiture or profile, that helps a lot. If you have a question, don't "piggyback" on a current thread or some old thread from many years ago. I see many newbies do that, and their questions go untouched. Just start off anew and create a new thread. Try to be as precise as possible when making a title for your thread, you'll probably get many more views, more help and answers to a thread titled "White Smoke at High RPMs in 1979 240D" rather than "Smoking 240D". It also helps to type your questions in the best english you have, using proper spelling, grammar and punctuation rather than using "e-mailese". Those who want to help you need to understand what you're saying, some can't decipher acronyms and abbreviated spellings of words and will pass your question over. Give detailed information about your problem as well. If you don't understand the answer to your question, don't be afraid to ask for clarification. Or if you start a thread and it goes unanswered or if it has been responded to but your main question still is unanswered, ask again in the same thread, or try the search function (I'd go with the search in that situation, but that's from my personal experiences). Here's a screenshot of where the search function for the W123 forum is.
Or, you can access it here. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/search.php (Note: Be sure to select W123 E,CE,D,CD,TD,TE Class on the Search Forums Menu if you decide to search from the provided link).
If you can follow the little guide above, then those offering help can be more accurate and helpful in determining how to fix your problem and you can get your answers in a more efficient manner.
