my valves probably need adjusting and i definitely need a purge but which one should i do first?

Since you should adjust the valves on a cold engine, do that first. Then comes the purge.

ah! i hadn't thought of that. i've got too many projects going on right now, minor body work, replacing my windshield and hood hinges, etc. ah! who am i kidding? it's fun! except for the heat here but you know all about that, being just a little ways down I-10...

Oh yeah, I know about the heat, we had rolling blackouts monday, and it was about 94 degrees that day and yesterday.[xx(]
