PCV filter on 240D & K&N replacement
Was playing around with a 14" K&N air filter, (14" dia. with a bottom plate originally for a carb) and wasn't sure what to look for in parts to replace the filter or sump between the valve cover and the intake manifold. I've cleaned out the intake once but figured I might be losing oil through the filter if it wasn't making it's way past the filter. What's it called or if possible a part number. Also this K&N filter needs some customizing but will replace my stock air filter cowl. The top and side allow air in and it is cleanable for reuse. Only worry is if the heated air from the engine compartment (say in summer traffic) will compromise the engine performance. Worked fine on the highway at 36 degrees F.
