Your thoughts on this 350SE pls?
Ok, so I can buy this 1977 350SE for R10 000 ($1425). It would be bought with the idea of tidying it up and selling it on. They fetch prices of up to R25k here.

I am not too familiar with 350SE cars, but that one looks nice. I'd buy it for $1450 if it ran well.

Me too! It looks like a really straight car. One in this condition in the Uk would make perhaps $4000 US. A dealer is asking for a 450 SEL $20000!

I bought it!
Yep, I bought it! Paid R9250 ($1320). It was reaaaaaly slow.
So, I bought all the supplies for a decent service and did it myself this afternoon. My new baby is back to her glorious self! Purrs like a V8 should!
Next up will be 4 shocks, check trans oil, check diff oil, fit aircon drive belt and a decent polish. Voila!
I am pretty pleased with myself!
