Oil Leak... Head Gasket? - Benzworld.org

So there is oil leaking from the passenger side of the engine on my 79 300sd diesel. I believe that it might be a faulty head gasket, but then other evidence proves me wrong. I checked the radiator fluid and the oil, the two seem to be staying the correct places(the oil is not mixing with the radiator fluid vice versa). The leak is coming from underneath the head, running along the entire block. I dont believe it is coming from the valve cover because I have a clear view of it, and there is no oil from there down until the bottom of the head. So this leads me to believe it is coming from either, said head gasket, or possibly the exhaust manifold gasket. Any help would be greatly appreciated

helo you could try putting a can of oil additive to increase oil thickness, it helps to thicken the oil so that it wont got out from the gasket, this is what i did mw 300sd stopped dripping oil from the head gasket

Oil return tube or turbocharger. It might flow backwards as you accelerate.
