Wow this is a great site/forum! I just found and joined benzworld.com as of recently. I own a baby blue, 79 300SD and a silver 85 Vw Golf diesel. (hope to get pics uploaded soon) My family has several w123's with many miles on them. I am a huge diesel and German auto fanatic. I was hoping to get some visual upgrading/enhancement advice on my SD. Thanks, happy wrenchin....
VW diesels are great. Simple, light, and small. Mine has been through wars and still maintains its composure. I have friends w/ TDI's. They are fabulous, a lot of fun, great mileage, and fairly cheap parts. A lot different compared to a Benz, but similar engineering hints exist between both.

The more the merrier! Welcome to the group! I have a '79 300SD too that I'm doing a major "Restification" on. This is my first Mercedes and also my first Diesel so I'm learning.[:D]
