No didn't buy the W123,I think you didn't see the rest of the photos. The W123 is one of the five other
Mercedes. The photo of the engine is of the W116(blue 77)!Sorry,let me add the missing photo of the $1000 litter.[:D]

RE: Diamonds In The Rough

Very nice my friend, any ideas what you might do with them, do you think you'll fix up each one or maybe make one great one out of them all?

Thanks! The one I didn't bring home yet(blue)may become the parts car,but don't know as of yet.I have been polishing the brown one on and off for the last few hours and am getting quite attached to it.I have even given it a nickname( T U R D )appropriately[;)]
Yet I must say I have NEVER seen a car as oxidized as this one.I have so far used rubbing compound, polishing
compound and just getting to using a cleaner wax and will follow with some quote "stop and stare" wax.She is 95% rust free which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy[:o)]

I have the black one in the garage and haven't even touched it yet,but maybe tommorrow I will give her some love[:D]

Most likely I will restore the two I brought home, but
don't want to get too distracted from my project 450SE.Still feel the emptiness with my 6.9 in jail[V]
and thought these " L's " would pacify me,but sadly they haven't[V]Don't get me wrong,I like them but let's be real[:D]

True, the "regular" cars are great machines but no "L" could ever be a substitute for those two special digits on the right side of your trunk lid

I am seriously impressed. You are even crazier than I am. I'm going to show this to my wife to prove I'm *relatively* normal.

Great work, keep it up.
