Vintage Mechanic Needed--Baltimore, MD area

Hello,
I'm moving to Baltimore and need to find a mechanic for my 1983 Mercedes 300D.
It has the following issues:

No brake lights
Driver's side window won't roll down
A/C needs work--parts may be corroded and need replacing

Also, would be interested in finding out who could do a decent paint job. My budget is $5,000 or less for paint job.

Thanks.

All those issues sound like something most any independent mechanic should be able to handle.

Well....I'm in Iowa right now and we can't get anyone to look at it. They either say they don't work on Mercs that old or they don't think they can get the parts or it would "cost a thousand just to get it in the door".

I think they just don't want to work on an old car.
