Wanted Mercedes 1975 Turn / fog signel light drivers side

Car : 1975 Mercedes SEL 4 door sedan ( drivers side front )
Anybody have a " Good condition " Front Drivers side BOSCH turn signal Lens . The one that fits on to edge of the headlight Bezel ( not below Bumper ) The Bosch Number on the other side says LE 1357F I think they are the same number on both sides ? ( not 100 % on that )
see photos please
Must be a reasonable price $25 + shipping . Am in Ca just now 95456 Zip
Not positive what years / Models fit and I would like to
Exactly what Models and Years well fit ? I already bought 2 that where wrong
But am thinking 1972 up to 1980 Not sure if that includes 1980 or not ?
I would Prefer the Whole Lens assemble it unbolts from inside the Engine compartment via a white Plastic dial you unscrew easy to remove . However is possible to remove the Lens from the assembly ether way I need the lens

Thanks In advance if anyone knows or has such a Lens in GOOD CONDITION for $25 ( less is ok as well )

I think you are being a little cheap on the price. I don't have the part, but if I did I wouldn't sell it for that. Left and right are not the same (they can't be).

Currently: 1967 250 SL, 1963 220Sb, 1965 300SE Lang, 1971 280SE parts car, 1972 Alfa GTV, 1965 Alfa Duetto, 1993 BMW R100R

I honestly doubt you will find one on the market for a measly $25 unless another vintage owner/member has a spare they will never use.

I really hope somebody that is a member can come through for you. However capping the limit at $25 probably will yield many results.

It would be a good idea to post your need in the For Sale/Wanted section we have just to get more people to see and hopefully have what you need.

There is a strong chance to get the whole assembly you would have to contact the MB classic parts department.

Don't shoot the messenger.

I checked one of the on-line dealers, I think the price for the lens is about $60 new (not the lens and housing). MSRP is around $100 but there are on-line MB dealers that sell at a significant discount.

re: $25 parts. I have zillions of $25 parts and stopped selling them because it's too much of a pain to list them, photograph them, etc. Now I give them away to a friend who has more time and less money.

Currently: 1967 250 SL, 1963 220Sb, 1965 300SE Lang, 1971 280SE parts car, 1972 Alfa GTV, 1965 Alfa Duetto, 1993 BMW R100R

LOL : I can feel the Love :
I ride a Different Horse . I am not saying that Capitalism is Up or Down after all I live in the USA and consider it high up the list of Capitalist Country's .
Personally when I have a part I don't need I just Give it away " for free " or a token price of Say $10 + the shipping to a Member of the Forum . Not Long ago I gave away a Set of POR 1980 928 front Power seats to a Member for Free + shipping.
Not much help here : ( so Far )
But I bet someone Knows Exactly what Year and Model Lens well fit the 1975 450 SEL Sedan .
My Best Guess is 1972 <> up to and perhaps including 1980 ( Example a 1978 300 D ) ( Wagon / Sedan ? 2 or 4 Door ? )
Re Price :
Humm $25 is in fact the going price just thought a Member might like to sell me one at perhaps Evan a better Rate but $25 is ok , I do want a Bosch OEM Lens and a Nice , Good one . as the Car is like New . ( Original Non Cracked Dash )
Look for yourself any don't Believers : Just snipped today , just now .
And Note you can bargain I know because I Have . The Lower Part of the Page has no price on the listings and you just call and ask .
This Forum " sometimes " loses Track of what its for But mostly Its right on , Helping other members with Repairs and Parts now that's why I belong . I am a long time Mechanic retired but still playing with Many Cars I enjoy .

So if any Members ride the same horse I still need the Drivers side Turn Signel / Fog Lamp Lens , a Bosch OEM Type only.

Actually, I think you invoked the capitalist mentality when you were dogmatic about $25 maximum price. If I had the part and you posted that you were looking for it I would have probably given it to you, but the approach of "I'm going to buy it and not pay more than $25" is a bit off-putting to me. I give away lots of parts too. But I don't sell many for $25. Much more likely to give one away.

Here you are confusing me. You have a W116 sedan and you need a left front turn lens for that. A W123 sedan or wagon is not going to fit. There is some possibility that a R107 lens is the same, but I couldn't say for sure. If you don't get any love on Benzworld post a wanted post on w116.org -- they will have the answers and help you out.

Do you need a fog lamp lens also? Lots of people ride the same horse. Perhaps it was your choice of words.

I hope you get your part.

Here you go!
Row 9 of the European section of Pick-A-Part Monrovia. 1979 280SE. Picture shows it having the part you want, who knows if it is still on the car. Car went on the lot 8/2/2016.

https://www.lkqpickyourpart.com/loca...a-281/recents/

Go to the weblink for any of the lkqpickapart locations and search inventory, put "merc" in the search string and see what comes out at the yards.

How's that for some love?

Scott

feeling the lov

Now that's love
Most likely the lens is gone after a few days but I like pick a part when they are fresh but Mangos when tree ripened . I like the Air Foil on sunroof of the Pic you posted as well ( most likely after market )
Most true Euros BTW have a different shade of Amber on the lens . so when you find such you need both to match . I think by Euro they just mean not made in USA however lol

BTW: Pick a Part unless you know a way used to have a way to search all the Mercedes they have in a given yard by just entering Mercedes without any year or model and every Mercedes they have would pop right up . Now they want certain year and model Info to search and not everything they have shows up.
Perhaps by just doing as you say it well show all Years in a certain yard I well check . ( that way you can check for interchange parts as long as you know what fits )

Lens needed is only the 1 Lens . Here again is the photo of the Missing (Broken by me stupid accident ) lens .
Also a Old photo of Lens still intact .
Have a great Evening I guess I well just order one soon if I don't find one here with a lot of love lol .

I doubt that one is "Euro". It's just in the European section at that pick-a-part. (rather than in the "foreign" section.) Who knows, there may be something good on the car still.

Nope. All I put into the search was "merc" and I got all Mercedes and Mercury. Be careful though, one of the yards, I think the one in Long Beach, uses "merz" instead of "merc" for the spelling... Silly. You should be able to search them all (individually) and most have inventory shown, some don't. Also, Sun Valley will put a W116 in the Primo yard (extra $2) and the inventory on that yard is seldom correct. But it is common to see a W116 there.

So I stopped by A Salvage Yard in Santa Rosa and they had 3 116 Mercedes 2 107 Body style Mercedes as well as 14 other Mercedes as well as Ton's of already removed Mercedes parts .
Owner Lets me go and remove the parts myself so I was Happy with that ,
For $10 I got the Len's in good Condition But Also with a Headlight beam & the Chrome Trim Ring as well .
I buy a lot of Parts there so expect I get a better price then most .
116 chassis well interchange simple as that 1972 < > 1980
So I found after my Own Research as No one on this site seems to Know That all Mercedes from 1972 on up to and including 1980 Turn Signal Lens are the Same on " All The Big Body 116 Models " so it must be a 116 Body or chassis . The Lens runs more horizontal in shape rather then on a Vertical Shape on the other models Excepting the 107 chassis , They are all there own ( I have a 1975 107 SLC so looked close at it )

Once again I found who you can count on .
I wish I could remove this entire Post but don't know how
