Zero cost fix :)

Well, minimal cost
I recently developed the annoying and embarrassing horn when turning the steering wheel.
Thanks to this forum, I worked out where the problem was.

The gear shift shaft pushing against the horn mechanism due to the two perished bushes.

A couple of hours labour, and managed to fix it with a bit of improvisation.

Used a basin tap washer (slightly trimmed) on top and bottom washer replaced with a metal spring washer which no doubt will last my lifetime.

Cheers.

Couldn't work out how to remove the centre plate, then realized you have to remove the indicator stalk.

Fiddly but satisfying.
