Hi Becky -
If the door locks on a W115 are the same as the door locks on a W123 there is a little mechanism that allows you to manually lock the door by pushing down on the button, and a little lever springs into a different position, bypassing the central locking. I'm assuming that your car has vacuum locks - does the door lock when the central locking locks all of the doors? Is it as if the vacuum locks are always trying to lock unlock that door?
Also, is the behavior the same if the door is CLOSED?
If this is the case, then you need to replace a part and it probably has nothing to do with the vacuum pump.
