Did my pedal lock just ruin my clutch slave cylinder?
Still trying to fix my W108's injection issues, but at the very least it now drives and has a new redline of 3400 rpm and a top speed of 39 mph. But at least it moves.
So last week, I tried installing a pedal lock for my brake and clutch, however the lock only seemed to fit around the clutch pedal. After removing the pedal lock, I drove it around for 2.5 hours and when I pulled into my driveway, the transmission wouldn't go into gear and the clutch felt really weird. Looked underneath the car and the ground was full of hydraulic oil. Has since been fixed, turned out to be a bad clutch slave cylinder.
Here's a picture of it in use on my W123:
Is it a freak occourance that my clutch slave cylinder went bad the same day as I tried my clutch pedal lock, or is there more to it?
