Proper location of receiver dryer on 280se.

Hi All
I'm trying to work out the correct location for the ac receiver dryer on my 280se 1968. I have a 4.5 which has it located next to the condenser and radiator passenger side. In the 6 it is just laying next to the battery? If anyone has any pictures they could share to help with the proper location that would be great.
Cheers John.

The receiver/dryer is usually in-line AFTER the condenser and before the evaporator. Doesn't matter exactly where it is physically located; i.e. on the fender wall, in the frame well, etc. as long as it is before the evaporator core.

Thanks Mike.
I was just curious because mine is just sitting next to the battery and not held in anyway? I have actually zip tied it to the upper battery frame so it won't scratch the paint.
Cheers John.

Hard to be sure but from the picture you provided it appears the retaining clamp is still on the dryer line but is not bolted to the fender well. There appears to be paint missing from the area where it was originally attached.
