Converting AC to 134
On my first old benz, I studied a bit, bought an r12 manifold for about $30, bought about four cans of r12 for under $100, and charged up the system after vacuuming it out with a Venturi pump from harbor freight on a very hot day in my very hot garage, with a very hot car. It was quite simple. I will surely do it again some day.
Edit: and all the r12 that is on this planet will eventually be released into the atmosphere. I guess not using it assures it will get into the atmosphere more slowly. But I figure I might as well use it to stay cool instead of letting the cans rust out somewhere.
My dream car is a classic sporty five speed (stick+overdrive) convertible that seats five. If, you want 70's-80's Mercedes tuner wheels, let me know.
